Background

I am a graduate student in the Linguistics Department at Stony Brook University. Before coming to Stony Brook, I received my M.A. degree in Linguistics from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, focusing on the phonology of Formosan languages. Here's my thesis.

Mayrinax Phonology: With Special Reference to UM Affixation (Linguistic Society of Taiwan 2006 Thesis Award—Honorable Mention)

Research

My current project has been on using experimental methods to explore the role of alternation in defining phonological relationships, and its implications on different phonological models. Here is a summary of the project.
