MY CV

Dissertation Topic: I am concerned with Datives in Spanish. I take a derivational approach crucially building on and extending proposal about case and agreement by Pesetsky and Torrego (2004). The core theoretical elements are the case nature of the preposition a ('to) and the derivational function of the dative clitic. I make a comparative study of Spanish with European Portuguese, Romanian, Greek, Japanese, English and Basque. [pdf]
