((my protective glasses for working with dangerous languages))
I am currently a second year graduate student in Linguistics here at Stony Brook. My current research has been on phonetics and sound change in Eastern Algonquian languages, spefically, the change of /a:/ to /ã:/. I am also interested in the Algonquian group in general, and the langauges of the Caucasus, especially Georgian, Kabardian and Lezgian.
I am also interested in historical and comparative linguistics, and typology. I have studied many of the old or classical Indo-European languages, reconstruction, Proto-Indo-European linguistics and PIE mythology.
Current Research Notes/Papers
-Early Algonquian Linguistics - Harriot and Eliot
-Spontaneous Nasalization in Eastern Algonquian
