[1] Stress conditioned segmental variation:English, and three dialects of Spanish spoken in Latin America (Peruvian, Argentinean, and Colombian Spanish)
- Part of this research results will be presented at PaPI'09 in June.Phonetics and Phonology of Iberian Languages, Spain.

[2] Pitch accommodation in synchronous speech:

  • Synchrony task is to ask a pair of speakers to read a text together. This type of reading shows different characteristics from those of Read-Alone speech in terms of speech rate and pitch variation. We are interested in how online linguistic information could be parsed and used to facilitate the task in an entrained situation, and which information is necessary to be accommodated between speakers/listeners
  • Speech rate characteristics in synchronous speech had been reported in Acoustics 08 Paris, and Pitch accommodation part will be presented in the upcoming conference of the 157th ASA meeting in Portland in May.

[3] Conflicting cues in the perception of stress: production and perception study having duration and F0 manipulated stimuli.

  • Upcoming presentation: 2nd ASA Special Workshop on Speech: Cross-language perception and variations in Linguistic Experience, Portland, Oregon, 22-23 May.

[4] Sardinian prosody: one of the Italian languages. Working with Prof. Lori Repetti.
